Community Development Block Grant for Bismarck
Posted 6/18/18 (Mon)
The federal government is giving Bismarck more than $400,000 in community development block grants. Residents get a say in what happens to it at a public hearing this month.
Organizations can propose projects to the Community Development Department that benefit low and middle income people in the community.
The Heartview Foundation in particular is set to receive $20,000 that will go towards the renovation of their new building.
"This transitional housing for those in early recovery is desperately needed," said Kurt Snyder, Heartview Foundation executive director.
The public hearing on the proposal will be held on June 28 at the city county building in Bismarck.
If you would like to comment on the project you have until July 16 at the latest.
