North Dakota Governor, Jack Dalrymple, proclaimed September 2011 “Alcohol and Drug Addiction Recovery Month.” The proclamation noted the importance of substance abuse treatment and recovery. Also noted was the statistic that 49,053 North Dakotans needed treatment for substance use disorder in 2010. The proclamation emphasized that education of society is essential to achieving long-term recovery.
