Heartview is proud to announce a generous $40,000 investment from AgCountry Farm Credit Services and Farm Credit Services of Mandan in support of its Opioid Treatment Program (OTP) Expansion Project.
This partnership is a natural fit. According to the American Farm Bureau Federation, farmers experience mental health problems at up to five times the national rate, aggravated by financial pressure, unpredictable weather and labor shortages. These stressors contribute to substance use disorders that go untreated due to limited access to care in rural communities.
Heartview is one of only four OTPs in the entire state of North Dakota. Our OTP currently serves approximately 300 patients, providing life-saving, evidence-based medication alongside comprehensive wrap-around support services. Expanding this program will allow Heartview to reach more North Dakotans who need access to quality care.
We extend our sincere gratitude to AgCountry Farm Credit Services, AgriBank and Farm Credit Services of Mandan for recognizing the critical intersection of agricultural community health and substance use care. Their investment strengthens not only our program, but the long-term health and resilience of North Dakota's communities.
