Taking the first step towards recovery can be scary. Nonjudgmental, supportive Heartview staff are here to walk you through the process and answer all of your questions about treatment types, wait times, insurance, and available payment programs,

RESIDENTIAL SERVICES/UNSURE- Call Heartview’s intake office at 701-751-6129. Intake office staff are often on the phone and may not be able to answer immediately. Please leave a voicemail and include:
  • First and Last Name
  • Date of Birth
  • Telephone Number

Compassionate intake department staff will do an initial interview and find out more about you and your individual needs. After this phone call, next steps will be determined, which may include being recommended for a residential treatment bed or asked to come in and receive an evaluation for outpatient treatment during walk-in hours. If you have insurance they will discuss coverage and if you do not have insurance they will begin the process of applying for Medicaid or the Substance Use Disorder voucher coverage.

EVALUATIONS/OUTPATIENT SERVICES

Individuals who are primarily interested in outpatient services can directly see a counselor in Bismarck or Dickinson for a treatment recommendation. No appointment is needed, but the number of patients able to be served each day depends on staff availability. 

Bismarck- 101 E Broadway, Bismarck

  • Walk-in Clinic Hours:  Monday through Thursday, doors open at 7:45 a.m. and clinic runs until 10 a.m. CT (or until all available slots are full). No appointment is needed, but the number of patients able to be served each day depends on staff availability. Dickinson- 30 7th St W (3rd Floor), Dickinson

  • Walk-in Clinic Hours: Monday through Thursday, 8:30-11:30 a.m. MT (or until all available slots are full). No appointment is needed, but the number of patients able to be served each day depends on staff availability. Please call 701-502-4411, option 3, with questions.

 Things to know about our walk-in clinic:

  • A photo ID is needed.  If you do not have this, an acquaintance may accompany you who has their own photo ID and can attest to your identity.
  • If you do not have insurance, you will not be turned away, our staff will help you apply and you will be asked to return at a later date for an eval. You can call ahead to start this process: 701-222-0386, option 6.
  • An evaluation can take up to 2 to 3 hours.  Please be prepared to stay the entire time.
