Heartview offers evaluation services for people mandated by the courts for an assessment/evaluation and for those people seeking treatment. When you arrive for the scheduled appointment, a highly-qualified addiction counselor will meet with you and do a comprehensive assessment of your situation. This includes gaining information about your alcohol or drug use from you, your family member, or another significant individual in your life. The counselor may also request that one of our nurses see you regarding withdrawal issues or other physical problems.
Additional testing will be done as part of the evaluation, including a nationally used questionnaire and a lab test of your urine at our CLIA-waived lab. At the end of your evaluation, our multi-disciplinary team will make a recommendation on what treatment services are best for you.
At Heartview, treatment focuses on helping patients and their loved ones understand the problems created by alcohol and drug use, the need to change related behavior, and the development of a support system to maintain abstinence in the future. Services are provided by professionals from many different specialties to achieve an integrated, holistic approach to recovery.
After a DUI, the court may require a drug/alcohol evaluation, and depending on the severity of the results, the individual may be referred to a DUI seminar. The cost of Heartview's DUI seminar is $240.
Alcohol/Drug Education classes can be presented on-site at your particular place of business or organization. The class content can be tailored to suit the needs of your organization. Contact Jennifer at 701-751-6135 to discuss possibilities.

H.E.A.R.T. Family Program
Heartview acknowledges that recovery is a journey that has many pathways and to assist individuals on their journey it is important that we embrace the family unit. Recovery can destabilize intimate and family relationships that have survived the pain of active addiction. Positive family support of recovery efforts significantly influences long-term recovery outcomes. In building a recovery-orientated system of care, the family system needs to be given the choices and opportunities to achieve their full potential and hope of recovery.
Helping Everyone Achieve Recovery Today, or the H.E.A.R.T. program, is held biweekly on Tuesdays at the 101 E Broadway, Bismarck facility. Registration is not required and attendance is free.
